The  menu at Seasons 52 changes every quarter, with the seasons. There are only a few days left for the winter menu. We enjoyed the Grilled Venison Chop with Mushroom Ragout with truffle mashed potatoes. The New Zealand venison chop had a great flavor and was not too gamey. The sauce complimented the meat very well. The mushroom ragout and potatoes were excellent.

This delightful entree with the sides was $24.95. Venison is hard to find in Florida restaurants and is often more expensive.  New Zealand venison is farm raised.

This dish is available for a few more days until their menu changes for the spring season.

There was live music on the Saturday afternoon when we visited.

Our table was on the covered patio.  We started with freshly baked bread,  Maine lobster bisque,  and lobster and crab cakes. The lobster bisque had a nice consistency and contained a lobster-crab fritter.  The lobster and crab cakes were served with a tropical fruit salsa, mango chipolte aioli.

For the main dish we enjoyed the Yellowtail Snapper which was a pan seared in a lemon-caper sauce and served with Florida Gulf shrimp, fresh asparagus, portobello mushrooms, and Yukon gold mashed potatoes.  The fish and shrimp were very fresh and tasty.  The asparagus spears were large and had a good flavor.

The freshly-brewed ice tea was very refreshing. Service was excellent and very attentive.

For desert, we enjoyed chocolate mouse and key-lime pie.  The pie was in a round shape and superb.  The chocolate mouse had a thin layer of chocolate cake at the bottom which gave it extra flavor.  The espresso and cappuccino were very good.

Other offerings include a variety of sandwiches, appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. There is a full bar including tropical drinks.  The sandwiches we saw were large enough to be shared.

I was at Mario’s Catalina Restaurant for a networking group holiday dinner on a Monday night with 18 other professionals. It was a lovely experience in Cuban, American, and Spanish Cuisine with light Latin music in the background. We had a large long table on the outside inclosed patio area in the front of the restaurant. We were welcomed right away and drink orders were taken. They are known for their fruit sangrias and their mojitos.  My husband and I had the fruit sangrias.  The food is fresh and delicious and the service is superb. The restaurant is able to handle larger gatherings as well as romantic dinners for two.  The prices are moderate to pricey, but the presentation and food quality is worth it. The meal portions are generous.

We started with appetizers for the table. Then everyone got the salad with fruit and vegetables.  I had the grouper in lobster sauce that came with asparagus. Some of group had the salmon with lemon sauce and others had pulled pork or strip steak dishes. I had flam for dessert that was very smooth.

I look forward to returning to Mario’s Catalina for dinner another time and trying some of their other dishes. There is another location in Miami.

Tiramisu of Boca serves up fantastic and unique Italian Cuisine that features modern European and American culinary techniques. Tiramisu is now under new management in a new location. The restaurant is closed on Monday’s and open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner.  Check out their website for their dinner specials. Tiramisu does offer 3 course Fall Specials served before 6:30pm. Lite music is played in the background to set a calm dining mood.

Zagat rated, this charming, warm and romantic restaurant features a full bar, wines and beers from around the world. The inside is very quant and elegant. Each dish is prepared to order and to perfection with a nice presentation. My husband and I were there on a Saturday night around 7pm. It was busy, but not crowded.  We were seated right away with our reservation and had excellent service. The owner of the restaurant also introduced himself and made sure we were being taken care of to our satisfaction.  Everything is a la carte. We both ordered martinis and the onion soup to start. Both were delicious. I had the trout for my entree and my husband had the snapper dish. Both were very tasty and fresh. We ended with sharing a cheese cake dessert with fruit topping.

We enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere and look forward to coming back to try their other dinner dishes. It is a great place for a special occasion or a holiday gathering with family.

Going to Disney Village in Downtown Disney is a treat in itself. There are attractions, shops, movies, and dining choices all throughout the area. In the marketplace area is T Rex Cafe Restaurant.  T-REX Café is a dinosaur-themed family eatery serving lunch and dinner amid prehistoric creatures, fun displays and merchandise in Downtown Disney area. T-Rex has a Build-A-Dino Workshop by Build-A-Bear. T-Rex is part of the Premium, Platinum and Wine and Dine Packages. Stare into the eyes of a dangerous Tyrannosaurus Rex or size up a stegosaurus or triceratops living in a prehistoric landscape of geysers and jungle-like greenery. They are open daily for lunch and dinner and take all major credit cards.

There is a separate children’s menu complete with a coloring book and crayons upon arrival. There are pre-historic exhibits that move and make sounds at different times while dining there. There is a huge fish aqaurium in the front behind the bar. When my husband and I arrived with my grandson on a Friday afternoon, there was a line to get seated, but it moved quickly and efficiently. The lunch menu had much to choose from with moderate pricing. There are dishes that are good for large and smaller appetites. I shared a gigantosaures burger and waffle fries with my husband and my grandson ordered the children’s cheese pizza.  We all loved our food. It was hot, fresh, and tasty. There were many waitresses going back and forth. Our waitress was very friendly and made us feel comfortable. She answered our questions and served us effectively and promptly.

It was fun having entertainment and interaction while we were eating good food. Looking forward to going there again and trying one of their dinner dishes.

If you are in the mood for a New York neighborhood kosher style casual deli, Mo’s Bagel is the place to go. They have all the foods you like such as Hebrew National hotdogs, matzoh ball soup, smoked fish, fresh deli meat, matzoh brei, challah French Toast, homemade blintzes, delicious desserts, and creamed sodas. They have take out, delivery, and catering available. There is also a kids menu.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. They are currently open every day, except Monday.

I visited the Aventura location (North Miami Beach) with a couple of friends last week for lunch one day. There is construction going on in the strip shopping center where it is located so it can be hard to park at times.  This location is large and seats 160 people.  They are closed on Monday and do not take reservations. It was busy, but we got seated right away and taken care of shortly thereafter. We each got a generous portion of cole slaw and their sweet and sour pickles.  I ordered a delicious hot lean corn beef sandwich on rye. The sandwich was piled high so I only ate one half and brought the other half home. One friend ordered the cabbage soup. Someone else ordered a pastrami sandwich on rye and finished the whole thing! The prices seem reasonable for the portions that you get.

I look forward to returning there again when I am in the area to try one of their other sandwiches. It is hard to have the willpower to not order any of the deli items as you walk out of the restaurant.

At Six Tables restaurant, dinner guests are served a memorable and delicious five course, prix fix meal in their comfortable quant dining room with only six tables! Each table can be arranged to accommodate a party of two, four, six or up to 10 people for your dining comfort. Six Tables is open for dinner only, by reservation only with two seating times, most Tuesday through Saturday nights.

The Boca Raton location is near Mizner Park and has been there for over seven years. We had the 7:00pm seating on a Saturday night. There were two other couples there at that time. You are encouraged to be there on time to benefit  most from the experience. It is a great place for a romantic quiet dinner for two or a larger party for a family celebration or company event.   All locations are independently owned and operated. The other Florida locations are in Tampa, Gulfport, and Dunedin.

At Six Tables, your table setting is very special along with the atmosphere and music. Real crystal, crisp linens, and unique china is set at each table along with soft jazz melodies and candles. Once everyone is seated, the owner and chef, Jon, welcomes you to the dining experience and explains the menu and the dining technique. CiCi helps pour the welcome blanc de blanc champagne that everyone rescieves upon arrival. There are other wines that can be ordered from their selected wine menu as well for dinner.

I ate at Six Tables with my husband to celebrate our third wedding anniversary this past weekend. It was so nice and really made our weekend celebration special.  We were treated very special. The welcome champagne is served with gourgeres. The signature lobster bisque was full of lobster pieces. The homemade lavender herb bread was warm and delicious. For our main dish, I had the braised lamb legs and my husband had the chateaubriand. The presentations were unlike any that we have had recently. The poached pear and sample cheeses went well after the main dish. We had a blueberry custard dessert that was very sweet and soothing with coffee. The whole meal left a good taste in our mouths.

I highly recommend trying Six Tables for a different and special dining experience. Looking forward to returning to Six Tables for many more occasions to come. You feel welcome when you go to Applebee’s restaurants. There are  many locations nationwide. It is a geared to all ages and accommodating to families and large groups with a casual atomosphere.  They now have the Carside to Go orders which is very convenient when you are in a hurry. There is a bar with daily happy hour specials. They regularly advertise their 2 for $20 dinner specials and also offer several dinners for 550 calories and under. I was there with a friend for dinner on a Wednesday night around 7:30pm at the Delray Beach location and waited only a few minutes for a table. It was still busy at that time. The hostess was friendly and the waitress was as well.  Looking through the menu, everything looked good!  The menu changes every season with new dishes.  It was a tough choice.

We shared a spinach dip appetizer. We both had iced tea to drink and got a chicken and shrimp dinner platter. It was brought out hot and delicious tasting! Afterwards, we shared a black cake and ice cream dessert. All and all, it was a nice dinner for a reasonable price. The atmosphere was not too noisy and I did not feel cramped. I have been there before for lunch and had salads. This time for dinner I was able to try one of their popular dishes. Looking forward to trying others when I return.
