My husband and I were in the mood for pizza over the weekend and came across Scarfone’s while walking around the Promenade at Coconut Creek.  Their other locations are in Coral Springs and Davie.  Inside it is a little too dark with tables, so we chose to eat outside with the nice breeze. The pizza we ordered was delicious and thin crusted like we enjoy.  There are many varieties, but we decided on the Farmers market which includes peppers, mushrooms, onions, and spinach. We ordered a large wheat pizza with a caesar salad beforehand to share.  Both of us had water to drink. The portion was plenty to share. Everything was tasty.

Scarfone’s prepares their pizza dough fresh daily. They use fresh San Marzano tomatoes which are easier to digest for many people that normally have heartburn. Fresh herbs and the finest mazzerella cheese are also used. There are also other dishes available such as pastas, specials with chicken, coal oven wings, sides, and hoagies.  White, blush, and red wines are served and there is a bar inside the restaurant. It is a great place for a party or an event.

The restaurant is open every day, except for Monday’s. When we were there at about five o’clock on a Saturday, there were a few tables being served. Our waiter was very nice and our food was promptly brought to us.

I look forward to going there again when we are in the neighborhood to try their other pizzas or dishes.

This is a great place to have fun, enjoy some great drinks and food, and watch sports on five televisions. The atmosphere is that of a casual and friendly Mexican bar and grill. The restaurant is located in a shopping center outside of the Coral Springs Mall.  There are tables for outside dining as well as inside.  The waitresses serve you with a smile and the food is delicious! The portions are generous and the cost is inexpensive to moderate. It is great for families as well as couples of all ages.

I was there on a Wednesday night and the Heat basketball championship game was on. It was pretty crowded at 7:30pm, but we got seated right away right near the bar and a large television set. Tijuana Taxi has daily specials and Wednesday is the Baby Back Ribs platter for $7.99. That is what I ordered with ice tea. You get a full rack of juicy pork ribs and two sides items that are piping hot.

They are the “home of the 36 ounce Monster Margarita”. They advertise that domestic draft beers are always $1.69. What a great place to cater a party or hold a special event! There are a variety of foods such as quesadillas, fajitas, enchilada platters, authentic taco platters, sandwiches, combinations, salads and wraps, and hamburgers.

I look forward to going back there again soon for their other dinner specials.

Payzins is a place that you feel comfortable whether you are with one person or among a large group of friends.  They have 14 restaurant locations in South Florida sine the 1980′s.  Think about being entertained with music while you are eating a delicious meal and being able to dance the night away in the same venue. It is also a great place to come for a drink, listen to music and dance without having dinner as well.

I was there last week with my seven other friends for Girls Nite Out. The food is prepared fresh everyday from scratch recipes and there are always specials available.  On a Thursday night it was crowded for dinner, appealing to all ages.  We started off with rolls and some had red wine and others had white wine.  A couple of us ordered the Macadama Nut Crusted Tilapia that came with soup or salad and two side dishes.  Someone else had the Island Skirt Steak and another person had the Broiled Salmon.  The Macadama Nut Crusted Tilapia was delicious.  Some of my friends complained that their dishes were not warm enough. They were replaced.  The salads and soups came out quickly after ordering, but the main meal did not.

The service was very slow, but the food and the portions were good.  The prices are reasonable.  I would probably come back again and try their lunch menu sometime.

The atmosphere at the Ke’e Grill is very relaxed and comfortable.  The tropical and exotic motif of Hawaii surrounds you.  The lighting, bamboo walls, and tables with the large umbrellas gives you the feeling of being at a resort in the tropics.  The Boca Raton location is one of four in Florida and is in a prime area for steady business.  Reservations are strongly suggested and the tables fill up fast.  When we dined there this past weekend, we were lucky to get in on such short notice. 

The staff seemed to be very friendly and accommodating from the moment we walked in.  Our waitress, Linda, was very helpful in ordering and service was prompt and efficient.  The menu at Ke’e Grill is primarily made up of Pacific, Asian, Polynesian and American Northwest dishes.  The food is of the highest quality and only the best cuts of meat are served.  The portions are very generous and the wide variety makes it hard to choose the one best dish to order. Their prices are reasonable for the amount of food that you receive and they do offer an Early Bird menu.  The wine list is extensive and their expresso martinis are the best!  I ordered the crab and yellowtail  combination which was very enjoyable.  Their fish tastes fresh and tender.  All of us had left-over food for the next day.  I look forward to going back to the Ke’e Grill again soon and recommending it to my family and friends.  If you haven’t tried the Ke’e Grill yet, do so and you won’t be disappointed.
